30 June 2021: The Results of the International Mathematical Modelling Challenge

The Results of the 7^th International Mathematical Modelling Challenge have just arrived. Mt Roskill Grammar School team's solution was placed in the Meritorious category, the second highest award (out of 4 categories)! This effectively placed them amongst the top 8 entries in the world. They have well and truly done us proud! Out of 51 teams that made it to the international judging round, there were two entries in the Outstanding category, six in the Meritorious category, 26 in the Honorable Mention category (including Botany Downs, the other successful NZ entry) and 17 in the Successful Participant category. Congratulations to the team, advisor Roelant Dewerse, mathematics teacher and also to our own Kerri Spooner who coordinated all New Zealand teams as the New Zealand representative in the Challenge.
