18 April 2025: Productive Research Trip to Singapore

Dr Sergiy Klymchuk had a productive trip to Singapore over 7-17 April representing STEM-TEC Centre and giving four invited presentations: a keynote address and masterclass at the Forward Learning Conference, a workshop for mathematics teachers at the Principals Academy, and a research seminar at a university. The trip was funded by the Ministry of Education of Singapore. The talks were based on Sergiy’s innovative pedagogical strategy of using so-called provocative questions to enhance students’ critical thinking and reduce their susceptibility to misinformation and mistakes. Sergiy’s teaching initiative and research in that area is for STEM students but the strategy can also be applied in other disciplines.
