28-29 July 2015: Two invited professional development workshops at the Academy of Singapore Teachers
On 28-29 July on return from two conferences in Europe Associate Professor Sergiy Klymchuk gave two invited half-day workshops on behalf of STEM-TEC at the Academy of Singapore Teachers of the Ministry of Education of Singapore. The workshops were based on his research in mathematics education and received excellent feedback - Sergiy has been invited to conduct more workshops next year. The titles of the workshops were:
Workshop 1: Using counterexamples, paradoxes and puzzles as a pedagogical strategy to engage secondary mathematics learners
Workshop 2: Using mistakes in mathematics textbooks and misuses of mathematics in everyday life as a teaching and learning resource for secondary mathematics learners.
