21 March: Two visitors from the University of Kassel, Germany

STEM-TEC hosted two visitors from the University of Kassel, Germany on 21st March: Professor of Mathematics Education Rita Borromeo Ferri and Professor of Applied Mathematics Andreas Meister. They were accompanied by Professor of Mathematics John Butcher from the University of Auckland who has close collaboration with Professor Meister. The visitors are about to establish a STEM Education Centre in Kassel and came to AUT to learn from STEM-TEC experiences. Possible collaboration was discussed in particular on the effective teaching/learning of mathematical modelling and organising mathematical modelling events at upper secondary schools.
